Module 1

The insights that I have been gained from the interview are that this teacher focuses a lot on the children that are in her classroom. She does have assistants in her classroom but still find time to have one on one and work with the children individually. She realizes that every child is different and that’s what made me think of DAP. Developmentally appropriate practices will also help me in my own classroom and have the idea that I need to find lessons that work with every child.
By my area of interest I think that I am going to focus on is observation to help the children get appropriate practices. By working one on one or just observing throughout the day will help get an idea of who is behind and who is advancing in different lessons.

Module 2

Who I interacted with during my time is with kindergarten teacher. I learned a lot from her because she has an integrated kindergarten classroom. She has other teachers in the room and is being helped a lot. She showed me a lot how to have DAP in the classroom since all of her students are at different levels from one another. Working one on one is an excellent way of helping those children succeeds day to day. The community seems to be so outgoing and concerning for the children and I absolutely love that. I have observed in other classrooms where it just doesn’t seem like the teachers want to be there.
